Flight Guide
Would you like to save money when booking flights? Here are some tips to travel by air while saving both time and money: information, schedules, and fares of all low-cost airlines arriving at and departing from Italian airports.
Save Money
- Whenever possible, avoid departures during weekends (Fri–Sat–Sun) and be prepared to travel at unusual times (very early in the morning or late at night).
- Purchase round-trip tickets at the same time. Special offers, discounts, and lower fares are generally available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Do not wait until the last minute, as there is no real “Last Minute” formula, and you risk paying more.
- Always ask whether special discounted fares are available—these are usually offered at least 8 days before departure, but with limited availability.
- Important: carefully read the transport conditions of each airline, as “reduced fare” tickets are neither changeable nor refundable.
Save Time
- All airlines sell tickets online. You will save time and receive your ticket directly on your computer or by email. Generally, 24/48 hours before departure, you can check in online and print your boarding pass, allowing you to go directly to the gate and avoid queues at the airport.
- Always trust websites that offer secure online payment through authorized banks.
- Avoid websites that require you to enter your credit card details in an unsecured booking form. Be cautious of websites that do not clearly state who they are, do not provide a telephone number, a reliable postal address, or specify the name of the company or agency selling the ticket.
